BEAUTIFUL STRUCTURES
Milan, the capital of the Lombardy region in Italy, boasts many architectural and religious landmarks. For me, the architecture of the Duomo Cathedral is captivating, as well as the painting The Last Supper – La Cène by the master Leonardo da Vinci, preserved in the Santa Maria delle Grazie Monastery, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I am not drawn to the church itself but to its intricate design. The column structure of the church is unique.
The Duomo Cathedral, built in the 13th century, also includes a series of rooms with different structures and materials, except for the main altar – the only area with architectural unity.
When you reach the roof of the Duomo Cathedral, you not only get to admire the city but also walk on it – an impressive experience. The day we went up there, the sky was clear, and we could see all the way to the horizon, a breathtaking view.
Thanks to standing on the roof of the Duomo Cathedral, one can see the snow-capped Alps mountains spanning the territories of Italy and France, layered upon layered in the distance.
Saw a few patches of snow gathering, reflecting the sunlight like sparkling diamonds.
The Alps mountain range is one of the world’s famous natural wonders.
Even if you’re not a fan of musicals, you won’t regret buying a ticket to a performance at Teatro La Scala.
Commissioned by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, this opulent theater was initiated and completed in the 1770s. However, it underwent a comprehensive renovation after being bombed during World War II, but still retained its original architectural features.
The theater’s interior is quite luxurious, with red velvet, silk brocade, and gold-plated plaster. At the center of the auditorium is a magnificent chandelier made up of nearly 400 lights. Because only here can you find regular performances by world-class musicians, singers, dancers, and actors, a trip to Milan would not be complete without stepping into this famous Teatro La Scala theater.
