It’s the strict discipline of carefulness, aimed at preserving the full depth, beauty, and integrity of conveying thoughts and emotions across all language barriers. It’s not a craft, but an art of understanding and rebirth.
It usually takes many years to master a language that is not your native tongue. Occasionally it takes even longer to grasp the essence, style, and subtlety of that language.
We must study properly – not just rely on AI like we do now. And you must be patient, humble, and courageous enough to let go of your ego so that the text can elevate itself with a different voice.

Dịch thuật đòi hỏi một khả năng lắng nghe, thấu cảm. Và ít nhất là qua hai thứ tiếng, và, có lúc, sâu hơn nữa, vào thế giới ẩn náu đằng sau chúng.
Dịch thuật là sự cam kết với giọng điệu, tinh thần và linh hồn của nguyên tác.
Cẩn trọng. Đó là kỷ luật khắt khe. Nhờ thế mà mình gìn giữ trọn vẹn chiều sâu, vẻ đẹp và tính toàn vẹn khi chuyển tải tư tưởng, cảm xúc vượt qua rào cản ngôn ngữ. Nó không phải là nghề thủ công, mà là một nghệ thuật của sự thấu hiểu và tái sinh.
Thường phải mất nhiều năm để thành thạo một thứ tiếng không phải là tiếng mẹ đè. Có khi còn lâu hơn để nắm bắt được hồn cốt, phong thái và sự tinh tế của thứ tiếng đó.
Phải học hành tử tế – không chỉ lệ thuộc AI như hiện nay. Và phải kiên nhẫn, khiêm nhường và can đảm buông bỏ cái tôi, để văn bản tự thăng hoa với thức tiếng khác.
Đó không chỉ là chuyện thay đổi từ ngữ. Từ ngữ chỉ là phần nổi. Ẩn sâu bên dưới là cả một đại dương ký ức, cảm xúc và lịch sử.
